오송생명과학단지는 계획 대지내의 후면 배치를 통해 전면의 녹지 공간에 상징성을 부여함으로써 단지계획의 새로운 패러다임을 제시하였다. 단지 후면에 자연지형을 이용한 배치를 통해 건물은 자연을 끌어들이는 역할과, SKY WALK, DECK와 연계된 쾌적한 보행자 동선으로 기능한다. 비워둔 중심 오픈스페이스는 공원이자, 생명을 존중하는 과학단지의 철학을 구현하고 있다.

O-song life science complex has complex facilities behind the site and we tried to place large green space in front of this building. This layout suggested new way to show symbolic image of green space. At rear of complex, SKY WALK with deck will represent pleasant space for people. Central empty space symbolizes life science and will be used as a park.
